Happy New Year from the Cyber Collaboration Center!

Thank you to all who have already registered for our DFARS Cybersecurity Webinar Series #22 on January 26th, 2023 at 4:00 PM ET:  ” DoD Provides Visibility Into Prime Contractors’ Supply Chain CMMC Readiness” featuring a return of John A. Ellis of the DCMA.

The DoD has announced that CMMC requirements in RFPs will begin this year and Mr. Ellis will discuss the DIBCAC’s detailed review of contractor system security plans (SSPs) to better understand the state of NIST SP 800-171 compliance across small, medium, and large companies within the DIB supply chain.  Unfortunately, the result has confirmed a lack of readiness and preparation to meet even the current NIST SP 800-171 requirements. This gap is expected to become even more problematic as the same contractors and subcontractors will soon need to be independently verified by 3rd party assessors to obtain CMMC Level 2 certification.  The supplier readiness gap is likely to become a major impact to Primes who will need to ensure their whole supply chain is CMMC certified in advance, before receiving award of any contract with CMMC requirements.

eResilience will provide strategies for mitigating this critical supply chain cyber compliance risk for Primes and suppliers.  Please help support the Cyber Collaboration Center by forwarding this email to your colleagues and co-workers who can benefit from increased visibility into their supply chain’s CMMC readiness through insights directly from top government and industry thought leaders.
