It is well established that foreign adversaries target U.S. critical infrastructure to disrupt operations and steal intellectual property. This presentation will highlight the targeting efforts by such adversaries and the types of information and trade secrets they aim to access to advance their economic and military postures.
About the Speaker: Special Agent (SA) Mackenzie Monarko joined the FBI in June 2006. She has been assigned to multiple field offices including Albuquerque, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh, and has worked a variety of violations such as gangs and drugs, organized crime, international and domestic terrorism, and criminal cyber matters. In January 2021, SA Monarko was selected as the FBI Pittsburgh Private Sector Outreach Coordinator where she oversees the InfraGard Pittsburgh and West Virginia Chapters as well as the Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC) program for the Pittsburgh area. She works closely with cyber and counterintelligence Agents and Intelligence Analysts to keep critical infrastructure partners apprised of threat intelligence.
